What is Aging in Place?
Most people think needing long term care also means that you need to move to an assisted living facility or worse, a nursing home. They are wrong! Increasingly, people are opting to satisfy their long term care needs by getting the care in their own residence. We call it “Care on your Couch”. If the idea of staying in your own home is not appealing enough, through Community Medicaid, clients can have Medicaid pay for the cost of their care. Unlike nursing home Medicaid applications, there is no five year look back period and there are even ways to preserve income.
